Students call for admin to publicly support Starbucks workers’ union
This article talks about NYU’s Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA) rallied last Friday, demanding that university leadership publicly support the Starbucks workers’ union and threaten to reinstate a campaign against the on-campus Starbucks location if administrators do not respond by March 7. The group wants to replace the coffee shop with something else. YDSA and other student organizations are part of a growing movement across universities to support unionized labor and improve working conditions for Starbucks employees. This article was great and was such an inspiration for young people who want to campaign against something. It had great insight on what the issues were and what they can do to change it.
